1967 Mustang Fastback 289 2barrel “C” code.
This was a garage find that had been buried under tarps for the last 10 years! The pictures you see are from the first two days of finding and relocating it… dirt, dust, cobwebs and all. Cats had found a home in this one… since the pics have been taken, I have removed the interior and it is in the paint booth as of 9/12/16. Once out of paint, this car will get a new interior already purchased (to look like the last three pics – these are from a convertible I came across at a local car show that has the exact interior as this fastback).
There are two spots of rust on this car at the lower door about the size of a silver dollar that has not gone through the metal. Why? This is originally a California car! The engine compartment picture indicates that to be true (of course the VIN tells us that as well) as it still maintains the original smog equipment!
We have the Marti Report if you are interested. It’s a true original fastback as they come… Acapulco blue with blue interior… the style steel wheels have the trim piece unlike the repo’s of today that are all one piece. The trim around this car is free of dents and wonderful shape.
I’m sharing this information and presenting this car as a project however not necessarily for sale. We tend to flip and on to the next, but this is a special original car. We are in early phase of refreshing this beauty back to it’s original state.
